During my 2 year tenure at Ralph Lauren, The team and I focused concepting, designing, and prototyping animations to create one of a kind web experiences. We were looking to push the boundaries and go away from boring minimal black and white designs. We also focused on customer journeys and data to make sure the Ralph Lauren consumer could easily make purchases while still enjoying those fun and interesting microinteractions. All of this was done using a Branded Design System. I believe in using existing components and branding and then coming up with different ways to make execute a different look and feel while still keeping the brands ethos.
Client: Ralph Lauren
Role: UX/UI Designer (Web, App and Special Projects).
QuickFilter Enhancements
For this initiative, we were looking to easily enhance the mobile experience. Reason simply because the filters were not commonly used. We were looking to create easy to understand microinteractions to help the user quickly tap through their filters. Our goal is always to enhance the experience for the customer first and 2nd create a fun and intuitive design.
Pants Guide Filter Desktop and Mobile
Based on data we realized that one of the least selling items on the web was pants. It was quite a shock for Ralph Lauren as pants were actively purchased when in store. This brought to the teams attention that we needed to create a better journey for customers to see the full spectrum of pants so they could better navigate through all of the pants rather than looking at a few and then leaving.
